The final resting place of Vernon Hill is at the south side of Trice Hill Cemetery. He has a horizontal marker, with praying hands at the bottom and flowers on the right side.

1915: Babe Ruth hits his first career home run off of Jack Warhop.
1925: The Great Sphinx of Giza is unearthed at the start of a complete excavation.
1935: Hachiko, the loyal dog who was remembered for his loyalty to his owner, even many years after his owners death, passes away on the very same spot he had waited for over nine years.
1945: Rocket scientist Wernher von Braun and 120 members of his team surrender to U.S. forces (later going on to help to start the U.S. space program).
1955: The long-running program Gunsmoke debuts on the CBS-TV network.
1965: Martin Luther King, Jr. leads 3,200 civil rights activists in the third march from Selma, Alabama to the capitol in Montgomery.
