NZ0033 - USCGS 'A 60' BM - Jackson County, OR - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1931 in good condition. It is monumented on top of a square, concrete post projecting about five inches above the ground. There are two witness posts near the station (one wooden, one metal) that make for easy recovery. The NGS datasheet description is adequate for station recovery. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1931 4.5 MI N FROM PROSPECT. ABOUT 4.5 MILES NORTH ALONG THE CRATER LAKE HIGHWAY FROM PROSPECT, JACKSON COUNTY, 28 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND 6 FEET NORTH OF A 6-FOOT TREE. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED A 60 1931 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.
