Columbia Road runs south off Highway 3 directly south of the Castlegar Airport. The old Champion Creek Doukhobor settlement is essentially at the end of that road. 2 km. north of that site there is a gate which is there to discourage motorized traffic, as that is the northern end of the Columbia Trail, an all season hiking and biking trail. The trail runs from there to the northern end of East Trail, a distance of 18 km.

The trail passes within about 500 feet of this disc. The coordinates will guide one to it.

The disc is an old three point hitch unit, probably an advanced piece of equipment at the time it was bought. The settlement would have been dissolved sometime around 1939, with the dissolution of the Doukhobor sect. The disc was manufactured by the Pittsburgh Forgings Company.
