Here is a family that, from all outward appearances, really must love Halloween.

To begin, their entire front yard becomes a graveyard each year in October, complete with ghosts floating among the graves. Overseeing the graveyard are a pair of very large, very scary witches, one about ten feet tall and the other, about 6 feet tall, perched upon a tall pole. The taller witch's arms move in and out, beckoning the little ones to come closer, if they dare.
Finally, perched above the door is a humongous black cat, waiting to pounce on the trick-or-treaters who dare enter the premises. Its head moves back and forth, constantly searching out prey. There is temporary lighting mounted in the yard, to enhance the effect after dusk.
All of this has been constructed at 8490 Highway 22, at the far east end of East Trail. It's quite noticeable while driving by on the highway.
