BM 93.71 - Santa Cruz County, California - Azimuth Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

Following instructions used from HT3284:

To reach the azimuth mark from the Post Office in Davenport, go northwest on State Highway 1 for 1.7 miles to a driveway and the mark on the right. the mark is a Santa Cruz County surveyor disk, set in the top of a concrete culvert, and is stamped BM 93.71. it is 25 feet southeast of the approximate center of the driveway, 23.6 feet northeast of the centerline of state highway 1 and 4.4 feet northeast of highway marker SCR 30 63.

I got to the specified place and spotted the culvert, but it was grown over and covered with sand and plants. I started digging and eventually unearthed this disc. I cleaned it up a bit and it matched the description.

Around the edge it reads "Santa Cruz County Surveyor" and in the center it says "B.M. 93.71".

Azimuth Condition: Good Your Directions: Follow Highway 1 North from Davenport to the Swanton Berry Farm. Santa Cruz Highway marker 30.63 is right near a culvert. The disc is mounted toward the edge of the concrete culvert. Station Link: [Web Link] Parking Coords: Not Listed
