According to the Daughters of the American Revolution records, Thomas Singleton gave material aid to the Patriot Cause and was a POW. My guess is that Mr. Singleton was caught up in the siege of Charleston.

Thomas Singleton's headstone is a simple granite block with a metal D.A.R. marker. The text reads:
