The Parque de Alameda is the main city park, and on the slopes of the Santa Susana Hill are spectacular views of the cathedral. The Paseo de Ferradura, a section of the park, is a recommended viewpoint from where to take photographs. In the park are lawns, a pond, flowerbeds, ornamental shrubs and groves of oaks, chestnuts and eucalyptus trees. There are also statues, sculptures, a bandstand and benches, as well as a children`s playground and a cafe.
