Perched on Piety Hill overlooking the town of Mitchell, this old Gothic revival style Baptist church building appears to be in excellent condition. The sign on the front says "First Baptist Church Mitchell Oregon Est. 1894" although that's the organization date of the congregation; the church building itself dates to 1895. The official name listed today is Mitchell Baptist Church but it has also been known as Mitchell Missionary Baptist Church.
