Gardnerville Remote Weather Station - Weather Stations on Waymarking.com

This is one of many similar remote weather stations located along highways throughout Nevada. The primary purpose of these stations is to monitor weather conditions so that the highway can be closed to traffic during severe weather conditions or that appropriate traffic warnings can be issued to the traveling public.

Instrumentation includes windvane, anemometer, thermometer, hygrometer, and precipitation detector. Data is transmitted via hard-wired data link.

Visit Instructions:
You must post Waymark coordinates as well as a picture
of you with a GPSr or Geocaching/Waymarking
attire/equipment and the subject weather station in
the background. The main photo should be of just the
weather station itself.
