Depicted artificial waterfall is important decorative landscape element of one of the most beautiful Prague' public parks - Kinský Garden (Zahrada Kinských) in Smíchov district of Prague.
Kinský Garden bears the name of its founder (1838) and the original owner - Prince Rudolf Kinský. The gardens elaborate landscaped design was the brainchild of the designer František Höhnel. The area was planted in orchard style which involved planting the place with wide array of local as well as exotic tree species; the project included some rather demanding changes to its terrain. In addition to that, Kinský initiated the development of the Empire Summer House and of a 380 meter water tunnel that supplied not only the villa and the garden with water but also fed two ornamental lakes and waterfall.
After the park was bought by Smíchov district and City of Prague, the originally private garden opened its gates to the public in 1901.
