I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey Azimuth Mark from 1967 in good condition. It is part of the NY0868 series of marks and is located about 1.5 miles N/NW from the triangulation station mark. The NGS datasheet and white witness post were very helpful in recovering this mark. The difference in the datasheet description from 1967 to present are as follows: There is a newer forest service road (NF-3461) .7 miles north from the T-junction right to Spodue Mountain Lookout Tower (and starting point to recover the AZ mark) on Forest Service Rd 3462 and could cause confusion when attempting to recover this mark. You should stay on NF-3462 and take the right fork .9 miles north of the T-junction to the lookout tower. Also, the signs 'Power Meadow 6' and 'Godowa Springs 2' no longer exist.

My posted coordinates and NGS datasheet description should place you very close to the AZ mark.
