[FR] La gare de Chinon a été mise en service en 1887.
Plus précisément la voie venant de Tours se poursuivait jusqu'à la Vienne qu'elle franchissait par un viaduc, se divisant au niveau du lieu-dit "Saint-Lazare" en deux branches, l'une vers Loudun et l'autre en direction de Ligré, où cette dernière se subdivisait à nouveau en une voie vers Port-de-Piles (sur la ligne de Paris à Bordeaux, entre Tours et Poitiers) et une autre vers Richelieu. La ligne de Richelieu a accueilli jusqu'à il y a quelques années un train touristique géré par l'association Trains à vapeur de Touraine (TVT), interrompu depuis 2004, en raison du trop mauvais état de la voie, que le conseil général prévoit de transformer en voie verte.

More exactly the way coming from Tours continued to Vienne where it crossed by a viaduct, dividing at the level of the locality " Saint-Lazare " into two branches, the one towards Loudun and the other one in the direction of Ligré, where the latter was again subdivided into a way towards Port-de-Piles (on the line from Paris to Bordeaux, between Tours and Poitiers) and one other towards Richelieu. The line of Richelieu welcomed up to a few years ago a tourist train managed by the association Steam trains of Touraine ( TVT), interrupted since 2004, because of the too bad state of the way, which the General Council plans to transform into green way.
