Founded in 1932, the Bic club was reserved in its infancy, to English speaking people who lived outside but who came to spend their summer holydays in the region. The number of members for the first year was limited to 75. Gradual changes of corporate policy occurred and in 1962 the new name "Le Golf Club Bic Inc." was adopted. The club turned to a 18 hole course only in 1963.
