For the last 24 years, the owners of Log Cabin Cafe and Ice Cream have been serving up the best ice cream at Lake Tahoe. Though there have been minor changes to the decor, the ice cream served, and the surrounding area, the Log Cabin has remained essentially the same and is worth the drive from any where around the lake.
Whether you eat your ice cream there or carry it out, you will be satisfied with your purchase. You can get a simple cone, a milkshake, or one of their delicious sundaes (see picture of the menu). As I understand it, the Log Cabin is open year round, but I've only been there in the summer.
