In Peoria, within the Peoria Riverfront Museum, is the Dome Planetarium.
The museum is located in downtown Peoria, at the corner of Liberty and Constitution. There is a parking facility between the museum and the Caterpillar Visitor Center.
The planetarium is physically connected to the museum. The shows are part of the museum general admission. Several shows are given in a day. Usually, there is at least one show devoted to the stars and planets visible at that time. Other shows astronomical subjects as well as laser shows with music from well-known bands. The show we saw was on extreme planets - facts and speculations on extrasolar planets found by Kepler.
The instrument used is a Zeiss Powerdome Planetarium System, which consists of a Skymaster ZKP4 star projector and a Spacegate Quinto full-dome digital projection system. It is only a few years old so it contains some of the most up-to-date equipment available.
In addition to general public shows, they also can do shows for groups.
