In Norwood's Highland Cemetery is the Chapel, which has several gargoyles about the structure.

To reach the chapel, enter in the northwest entrance to the cemetery from Winter Street and drive to the intersection where the administration building will be on the right and the chapel on the left.

The chapel is is a stone building and is roughly rectangular with a low peaked roof. Gargoyles are visible on the east side and a corner of the rear. Both are true gargoyles - their mouths are circular holes (though I didn't see water fall from them). One is a cattish figure with hints of wings, while the other is an eagle-ish figure.

The chapel was built in 1903, and given by the Day family to the residents of Norwood. The full name is the Chapel of St. Gabriel the Archangel. The architect was Cram, Goodhue, and Ferguson.
