Steam tractors were used primarily as portable fixed sources of power for other farm equipment such as threshing machines. Limited in mobility by the necessity of having a source of fuel close at hand to fire the boiler, most of the tractors pulling duties were limited to pulling whatever equipment needed their source of power behind them from place to place.
Engine Type: Steam
