This brick chimney is located on the left about three miles up the Middle Prong Trail. It is about 75' off the trail in an opening. Middle Prong Trail follows the roadbed of the Little River Lumber and Railroad. The brick construction, narrow and high hearth, and a nearby concrete base with anchor bolts leads me to believe this chimney may have been in a railroad blacksmith or machine shop.
