Needle's Eye Arch is the most famous of Ohio’s “sea” (lake) arches. It has been pictured in tourist guides as early as the late 1800s and has long been a popular attraction. It has a three-foot span with a 9½ foot clearance. It is categorized as a “vertical crevice enlargement.” It is of the Silurian age in the Salina Group dolomite formation.
