The fountain is located on the Place Broglie next to the Opéra du Rhin. Tomi Ungerer (
visit link) designed a monument ensemble with a bronze Janus-head and a Roman aqueduct. The aqueduct leads water that falls down on both ends into a basin.
The fountain symbolizes the city of Strasbourg which is equally influenced by the culture of France and Germany.
