Experience the history of aviation in the Fokker 100.
The Fokker 100 is an experience for all visitors to the panorama terrace of Schiphol. Schiphol wants to surprise its visitors with this plane and offer them a look behind the scenes of aviation. Inside the plane you can see the cockpit, hear reports of the control tower, take place in the original seats, take a look in the luggage compartment and learn about the history of Fokker. Children can solve puzzles. Access to the plane is free.
The Fokker 100 is a donation of KLM to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. This plane made its maiden voyage on March 2, 1989 and the last one on February 19, 2010. In her last five years of service the aircraft transported over 550,000 passengers in 7,403 flights to Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Bristol, Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nice and Bologna.
On June 1, 2011, this Fokker was officially opened by the boards of KLM and Schiphol Group.
