Østjyllands Politi blev etableret den 1. januar 2007 i forbindelse med politireformen, hvor de tidligere politikredse i Grenaa, Randers og Aarhus samt en del af Odder politikreds blev lagt sammen i én ny, stor politikreds. Kredsen omfatter Randers, Norddjurs, Syddjurs, Favrskov, Aarhus, Odder og Samsø kommune. Lokalpolitiet i Randers, dækker Randers og Favrskov kommuner.
East Jutland Police was established on 1 January 2007, as result of the police reform, where the police in Grenaa, Randers and Aarhus and part of Odder were merged into one large new police district. The district includes Randers, Norddjurs, Syddjurs, Favrskov, Aarhus, Odder and Samsø municipality. The Police in Randers, covers Randers and Favrskov municipalities.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
