This new kinetic piece is one of over a hundred public outdoor sculptures in Edmond. The pieces are purchased by businesses and individuals in partnership with the Edmond Visual Arts Commission. Boulevard has several pieces from just south of 2nd Street to north of Danforth Blvd. They include abstracts, figurative sculptures, and kinetic as well.
Twirl at the Dance is about 9 feet tall; it has several spinning arms, all with multiple copper cups to catch the wind and spin the sculpture. The lower arms have larger cups, and the arms higher up are shorter and have more and smaller size cups. There are 7 colored bulbs near the top levels that look like Christmas lights.
