Bessie Haithcock was North Carolina's first woman tower operator. Her husband was first tower operator when this tower was built in 1932. Tower is 100' tall with 88 steps to the top cab. Can see 20-30 miles on clear day. Last used in spring of 1993. Located 4.5 miles southwest of Warrenton,NC on NC Hwy 58.
