The “Uncle Tom's Point” trailhead contains a map of the trail area of Yellowstone and the You Are Here marker shows the trailhead location. From the viewpoint there are views of the Lower Falls and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
Originally with 528 steps and rope ladders, it now descends 328 steps, 3/4 of the way down into the canyon for an excellent view of Yellowstone Lower Falls. The stairway starts at an elevation of 7,841 ft and ends at 7,460 ft.
