Dunns Creek State Park is located along the south bank of Dunns Creek in southern Putnam County. The park is made up of more than 20 natural communities that include rolling sand hills, deep ravines, river swamps, pine flatwoods and slops forests. These communities protect several endangered and threatened species, as well as a variety of other native animals. A picnic are is located on U.S. 17, north of Pomona Park. The 1.4 mile hiking and bicycling trail takes visitors to the pristine waters of Blue Pond.
