The Gateway Fountain was donated to the Town by the East Haven Rotary Club in 2007. The cement fountain has a large, 10' on a side, octagonal basin with concave alternate sides. In the center of the basis rises a four tiered fountain. Each tier has a basin which is smaller than the one below. At toe top is a pineapple carving, a symbol of hospitality. Water shoots up from the top and cascades down the four tiers into the basin below.
A bronze plaque at the base of the fountain has the emblem of Rotary International and is inscribed:
