At first glance, it looks like someone took a big bite out of the side of the mountain. This impressive cirque (or bowl) on Mount Ouray's east face drops 2,000 feet and looks like a massive armchair. A classic route to the mountain's summit climbs along the southern "arm" and offers stunning views.
The coordinates were taken from the summit overlooking the Devil's Armchair. It is not necessary to climb the mountain in order to log this Waymark (bonus points if you do). The mountain, with its signature devilish feature, can easily be seen in several spots from the Marshall Pass road southwest of Salida.
