Who knew? Tucked away in a small private community is a covered bridge with an asphalt road underneath. Although it is of unusual (contemporary) construction for this ilk, it has a cover and crosses a stream.

I learned about the existence of this bridge from a website, which I can no longer find. I am glad I took coordinates else I would not know where I was. The bridge was not what I expected. The pallid brown span leads into a private/no trespassing community. Walking around under the bridge is fine but I did not venture into the living quarters of the community.
The bridge is enormous and can accommodate two-way traffic and probably hold enough space for a third motorist to pass between the two. Although I cannot find an official name for the bridge, I am using the name of the Community for its name, that being Country Lane, a private community with a homeowners association. They must be very aware of their bridge as a picture of it is featured prominently on their street sign leading into the development. parking is available off to the side past the bridge, on the right where the road begins to curve. No one seemed to bat an eye at my picture taking.
The bridge doubles as a citizen memorial. A plaque attached to the side of the bridge reads:

Current Condition of Bridge: Immaculate
Description of Covered Bridge:
Large, not a typical bridge construction, no truss or Burr arch truss or Howe truss, nothing like that. There are five openings or windows on each side which overlook the creek. The top resembles a prefabricated roof of a house that appears to have been slapped over two abutments which hold it in place.
