This sculpture is located in the river, just upstream of the first bridge pier from North of Mittlere Rheinbrücke in the center of Basel.
The sculpture was created by Ludwig Stocker, and donated to the city by the three Honourable Companies of Lesser Basel on occasion of the 600th anniversary of the union of Greater and Lesser Basel in 1992.
The sculpture is called Lagerstätte (Repository); it is made of three large steel silhouettes of the emblems of the three guilds. They are moored to a heap of stones next to the first bridge pier in the water. They are only visible, or at least recognizable, when the Rhine has a low water level.
