There are several trails, thus, several trailhead markers in back of the 1816 Barclay Farm House. The trails run all over the place but are well-marked to prevent people from getting lost. There are also some Eagle Scout project-installed boardwalk crossings as well. Bird watching is also a favorite activity here as well. The trails will take you to some premium birding locations.

The network of three trails winds through different natural habitats including wetlands, riparian, pond and mature forest. Wetland and riparian habitats are important habitat types in short supply in the state of New Jersey as highlighted by the state’s Wildlife Action Plan. The New Jersey Audubon selected the Barclay Farm area as one of the stops on their state-wide Birding and Wildlife Viewing Trails. Signs indicating this recognition are posted at Barclay Farm trailheads. SOURCE
