This campground is not one for forests and nature but it is comfortable and mature in surroundings. It is just a short distance from the strip in Pigeon Forge but not right on it so it is a convenient place to stay if you are enjoying the tourist attractions in the area.
It also has a lot to offer on its own. There is a restaurant on the grounds, a camp store, snack bar, two pools in two different locations of the campground, and a lazy river in a third. The office is on the main road in the west end of a Exon gas station which has a convenience store that also serves the campground.
Lots of seasonal and permanent campsites but lots of good spaces available as well. There is a "stream" on the west side and ducks to feed. The stream is not the babbling mountain type but it is water and peaceful in that sense.
The staff was friendly on our visits. We would return.
Be aware the spaces can be a little tight but this is just normal for the area of the strip and attractions. Trees and shade are available and plentiful.
