Courthouse was built in 1923. Harry Batton designed the courthouse. Structure was built at a cost of $235,925.82. In 2010-2011 the building was remodeled at a cost of over 3 million dollars. Built in the Classical Revival Style with terracotta stonework, dental tooth molding and a ceiling in the 2nd floor courtroom made of silk. North & South portion of building has 6 Fluted Doric Columns. Some court related offices are still located in courthouse.
