The Happy Half-wit, a big-eared goofball, is the rarest of the M-Man lines. In Winslow, New Jersey, a statue known as "Mr. Bill" has the body and arm positioning of a classic Muffler Man, but with the head of Alfred E. Neuman.

This huge muffler man adorns the left side parking lot of Mr. Bill's, a local eatery and ice cream hang out. I always pass this place on Route 73 when I go down the shore for a day of sand and shirt. Invariably, I always have to stop and take a picture. Mr. Bill one of the Half-Wits produced in this country way bak when, was bought by Ray Giannascoli and brought to his present location in the mid-1980s. He was originally from a sandwich place that was about to be demolished. He is held in place with steel pipes running from his legs into the ground and guide wires set in concrete. Giannascoli's place was originally called "Bill's Drive-In". When he purchased the new statue, he renamed him Mr. Bill, a reference to the Saturday Night Live animated clay figure, which we always talked about on the bus the next week on the way to school in the seventies. This is also a very popular
