4 km. west of the Elkhart Road interchange there is a pullout/rest area on the north side of the highway for westbound traffic. This webcam is there, mounted high on a steel pole near the east end of the pullout, looking west down the highway. There's power by the road, so no solar panels here. This is only about 25 km. east of the Highway 97C-Highway 5 junction. A second camera, looking east, has bwwn added here recently (summer of 2016).
The road goes to Elkhart Lake and Elkhart Lodge, a high country fishing lodge. We've never fished there, but I'm willing to bet that the fishing is pretty good.
