According to the 1932 report of the county cemetery board, the one-quarter acre, Anglican cemetery was established in 1832. By the 1960s, the family cemetery was well neglected, overgrown with weeds. Only three monuments had survived. By the 1980s, the neighbour farmer was attempting to gain access to the cemetery grounds, hoping to grow crops after carefully moving headstones. Within the next few years, some of the grandchildren and great grandchildren of those buried here had rallied to save their cemetery. The ground was now level. The fence was strengthened. Landscaping was done. Trees were planted. Modern monuments were erected. Today, decades after those improvements, those new trees are large, the grass is tall and once again the stones are difficult to locate.
According to the aforementioned cemetery report, there were 15 interments by the end of 1930. Interments include the following individuals.
John Bowers (1829-1854), original monumental inscription
Jane (Bowers) Burgess (1827-1862), original monumental inscription
Francis Bowers ( -1863), original monumental inscription
Abigail Bowers ( -1881), original monumental inscription
Margaret (Bowers) Presley (1842-1928), death registration #023697
Dorothy Bowers (1849-1930), death registration #023860
John Edward Bowers (1855-1938), death registration #024467
The other interments should include Mary (Dickenson) Bowers (1793-1873) and Francis Bowers (1813-1894).
