The Port Hueneme Pier was originally constructed in 1956 by the Hueneme Sanitary District as a construction trestle for a sewer outfall pipeline. After a beach replenishment project and two devastating storms, the pier was rebuilt. It no longer supports the sewer outfall, and is there for the enjoyment of families for fishing or just a stroll along the pier.
