'La Ville de Granby rend honneur à monsieur Isidore Martin (1903-1982) en nommant cette place en son nom. Monsieur Martin fut à la fois cultivateur, gestionnaire scolaire, politicien et administrateur. Impliqué dans la politique municipale dans le Canton de Granby, il siège d'abord comme conseiller municipal de 1940 à 1963, puis à titre de maire de 1963 à 1975. Il fait également partie des 36 membres fondateurs de la Coopérative agricole de Granby en 1938. Par la suite, il occupe successivement les postes de directeur, de vice-président et de président jusqu'en 1974'.

This is the text of the plaque:
'The City of Granby honors Mr. Isidore Martin (1903-1982). Mr. Martin was a farmer, a school manager, a politician and an administrator. He was a municipal politician in the Canton de Granby. He served first as a municipal councilor from 1940 to 1963 and as mayor from 1963 to 1975. He was also part of the 36 founding members of the Cooperative Agricole de Granby in 1938. Subsequently, he was successively director, vice president and president until 1974.'
