On the west bank of the Tuckaseegee River, a white two and half story home is built around a circa 1850 plank cabin. The expansion included the first indoor plumbing in the town. Since the application was filed, a new porch and roof have been installed.

Mr. Hall was a prosperous farm on the rich river bottom. The house was a reflection of their increasing means.

The house is reached along an unmarked gravel driveway following the river.
