This carved wooden Bigfoot is the signature piece for the Legend of Bigfoot souvenir stand. It stands out front near the road and many people stopped just to take a picture of this large carving.
As I was taking my pictures of this statue to match up with the Zippy strip, something just didn't seem right. The hand positions of the carving did not match those shown in the strip, so I did the best I could. Afterwards I went in and talked to the store owner, showing them the panes from the strip. They pulled out a pamphlet with a picture (see gallery) matching the Bigfoot in the Zippy strip. They told the story of how he decayed and weather and eventually had to be replaced with the one currently in use.
Zippy had a conversation with the Bigfoot, where Bigfoot first noticed that Zippy did not have a camera like every other tourist. Zippy said he had come seeking answers to life. In a philosophical manner, big foot said, ""Life? Life is a tragedy filled with joy!" Zippy thought it was a comedy disguised as a tragedy. Zippy had so many goofy ideas about life that Bigfooot thought "An Alien abduction would be very nice right now.", indicating he wished Zippy would go away.
