The paper was founded in 1937, as a weekly adjunct to the larger daily newspapers from Peterborough, Oshawa and Toronto.
The building still contains the editors desks and reporters rooms, although printing is conducted at print facilities in Toronto.
In keeping with the changing times, both newsprint and online copies are available for about $40 a year.
