Being avid gardeners, we enjoy watching butterflies and bees flitting from one flower to another.
Last year we visited this garden, however it was late in the season and the butterflies were gone by then.
We were not disappointed when we returned a few days ago, and found the flowers in bloom and a few butterflies and bees actively in pursuit of nectar.
There are facing benches under a small arbor for relaxation and enjoyment of watching the butterflies and all the going on that accompany such a lovely area.
There is an assortment of annuals, perennial an native grasses.
As time and funding allows, Communities in Bloom will continue expanding the garden and adjacent trails.
Kootenay gallery also offers Aquatar, a mythical creature metal sculpture, Ghost Salmon, made from recycled materials, and two colorful murals to make your visit complete.
