This memorial is in memory of Rich Guadagno, who was the manager of Baskett Slough and Ankeny Wildlife Refuges in Oregon's Willamette Valley for eight years. The memorial is located within a kiosk at the summit of Mt. Baldy, a peak that overlooks the wildlife refuge. It is accessible by way of an excellent trail and is approximately three-quarters of a mile from the closest parking area. To get to the parking area, an easy way is via Coville Road, off Highway 99W.

The additional coordinates listed below are for the entry to the parking area at the trailhead. An informational sign at that location also provides information about Mr. Guadagno.

Rich Gudagno was the refuge manager at Baskett Slough and
Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge from 1992-2000. He led many
successful efforts to improve the management of these refuges.
Tragically, Rich was aboard hijacked flight 93 that crashed in
rural Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001. Rich's passion for life and
dedication to family, friends and wildlife was an inspiration
