This Baptist church is located in unincorporated Polk County about nine miles from Dallas. This area is known as Perrydale and was once a railroad shipping point for the area's farm products. Today, there are just a few scattered farm houses and a school in the immediate area.

The oldest portions of the building date to 1888. Additions were made later to "fill-in" the structure's original "L" shape.

The church remains active and includes gatherings at the following times:
