This church was built in 1882 as a Methodist church in rural Polk County, Oregon. It is located in the small farming community of Oak Grove, about five miles northwest of West Salem. Across from the church is grange hall and an abandoned school.

Originally Methodist, this became a non-denominational community church in about 1970. It remains active, holding a Sunday service with an average congregation of about 40 people as well as Sunday School class the previous hour.
