This Vintage Gasoline Pump is located on the second level of the Iowa 80 Truck Stop on the northeast corner of Interstate Highway 80 and 60th Avenue north of Walcott, Iowa.

This pump was typical of the second major generation of gas pumps. It was a powered pump, but you could clearly see the flow of gasoline as it passes through the view chamber and into the delivery hose. Note the 18 cent price. This predated the adding of fractional cents for a gasoline tax, ancestor of the remaining 9/10 cents still tacked onto the price today (although the gas tax is much higher that that!).
