EN: The old Latin School of Zofingen is located in the Old Town, just north of City Hall. The three-story school building was built in 1600-1602 by Antoni Stab.
A Latin school in Zofingen is already documented in 1270, to 1528 it was operated by the chapter of canons after the Reformation by Bern. The school was used from 1602 until 1877, since 1974 here are the city library and city archives.
DE: Die alte Lateinschule von Zofingen befindet sich in der Altstadt, nördlich des Rathauses. Das dreistöckige Schulhaus wurde 1600-1602 von Antoni Stab erbaut.
Eine Lateinschule in Zofingen ist schon 1270 dokumentiert; bis 1528 wurde sie vom Chorherrenstift betrieben nach der Reformation von Bern. Die Schule wurde von 1602 bis 1877 benutzt, seit 1974 sind hier die Stadtbibliothek und das Stadtarchiv.
