CCC Camp S-53 - Clear Creek State Park - Sigel, Pennsylvania
Camp S-53, was known in its early days as Camp Hays Lot, however the name was later changed to Camp Clear Creek.
The camp was occupied by Pennsylvania Company 353 from its inception on May 29, 1933 to an unknown date in the year 1935. Company 353 built cabins, which some they used as their quarters and now can be rented out. The CCC also built ancillary facilities such as the Swimming Area including the Food Concession Building, park roads, bridges, waterlines, and sanitary facilities, which many still stand within the park today.
