The final resting place of Vernon E. White is at the northwest corner of Fairlawn Cemetery, at the northeast side of the section. His is a horizontal, double marker shared with his spouse Hilma.

1915: Joseph E. Carberry sets an altitude record of 11,690 feet (3,560 m), carrying Capt. Benjamin Delahauf Foulois as a passenger in a fixed-wing aircraft.
1925: The 1925 serum run to Nome (the "Great Race of Mercy") relays diphtheria antitoxin by dog sled across the U.S. territory of Alaska, to combat an epidemic.
