Entertrainment Junction claims to have the world's largest indoor train display, and once you visit you'll believe it. A trip through the museum passes through three major periods in railroad history, from the very early years to more modern times. To keep things exciting if you've visited more than once, you can participate in scavenger hunts, trying to find scenes, objects, or buildings throughout the exhibit such as "bird nest," "two forklifts," or "window washer."
It is also home to the American Railroading Museum, midway through your model train visit. There are a variety of videos, artifacts, and posters describing the history of railroads in the United States. You can sit on an old train station bench and see tools and equipment from the early days of railroading.
This museum is geared towards kids, and includes rides and an area with opportunities for hands-on play. However, train enthusiasts of any age should thoroughly enjoy a visit here.
